Well yankee doodle dandee! Isn't he just about the cutes thing this side of the Mason Dixon line!!!??? I love him so much and love to cuddle with him AND I can't wait til the cold weather gets here because I hope his mama will let me get him from daycare and bring him to my house so we can snuggle!!! Precious I say!!!
This here is a picture of are awesome dog Rosie (actually map's 4th child).
The mother cat to these babies decided she didn't want them so she sorta gave them up.....and Rosie took over the mothering role complete with nursing them. God works in strange but neat ways sometimes, see, Rosie has never had babies and we don't really know if she can but she was able to nurse them :)
We keep wondering, when the kittens get bigger, if they'll chase other cats or rabbits and bark!? :)
Now on to probably my most favorite trip this summer. My best friend of 34 years is about to get married next month and I know it's crazy but we have never been on any kind of a trip together. We have talked many times about how we need to take a scalloping trip (she goes with her parents quiet often) so we knew since she was getting married and moving to Texas! yes, I said Texas, that we had to go through with this trip...and we did.... it was me, map, Jake, Ben, Rivers, Christy, her mom and her dad.
This is the two of us in the canal heading out to the big waters :)
and baby girl.....we all had a blast!!!
here we have the snorkeling queen :) another story to come later....
I think this weekend Ben was as close to heaven as you can get here on earth!!!
We were not really excited about this picture because we were having to actually STAND IN THE GRASS!!! not one of our favorite things...at all!!!
FYI: when you find big beautiful conch shells like these whilst you are scalloping, leave them in the ocean......we found out that it is illegal to take them!? Really, it is!!!
and here we are the 2011 Scallop Dive Team of Keaton Beach, Fla....there is a story about the one with the goggles and sunglasses. I looked over one time when we had gotten to the deeper water and she was flailing in the water so much that I actually had thoughts that a shark had her by the head and was trying with all it's might to take her down......come to find out she was trying with all her might to get to the bottom....she had spotted a scallop!!! Never quiet got down there to it :( I had several struggles gettin into the boat and one time I got a little giggly with my hubby tryin to shove me up in it and then him pinchin in certain areas that I ended up takin on about 2 gallons of water in about 0.5 seconds flat....GAME OVER!!!
I do believe if we'd have had someone filmin' our litle expedition we'd have been about $20,000 richer!!!
There's always next year!!! and we are already looking forward to it!!!
Again, Ben in heaven! This is what his future looks like!!!
and here's the bounty!!! I think we got our limit of 10 gallons!
Again, in the more shallow waters that we hated but we were gonna do whatever we had to to find those scallops....and we did eventually!
Priss said it was naptime...and she was right....had it not been so bumpy I'd have been right there with her!
This is Ms. Betty. She was our shark watcher outter for, lunch lady, scallop getter, photographer and most important, head counter!!! Best deck hand EVER!!!
Smiley boy and Jake :)
Map, also in heaven :) boy did we ever cover some water that weekend!!!
He will definitely love being at your house in the winter. That boy loves to be all wrapped up and I'm always hot!
